1. Who We Are
Jusgo ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered travel planning service accessible at jusgo.ai. We help you generate personalised travel itineraries, smart packing lists, and transport guidance. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
If you have questions about this policy, please contact us at privacy@jusgo.ai.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Information you provide directly — your travel preferences, destination, travel dates, group size, interests, and any other inputs you provide when using the planner.
- Account information — if you create an account, your name and email address.
- Usage data — how you interact with Jusgo, including pages visited, features used, and session duration. This is collected via standard web analytics.
- Device and technical data — browser type, operating system, IP address, and referring URL. Used solely for security and improving service performance.
- Cookies — small text files stored on your device to remember your session and preferences. See Section 7 for more detail.
We do not collect payment card numbers or banking details directly — any transactions are handled by third-party payment processors under their own privacy policies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Generate your personalised travel itinerary, packing list, and transport guidance.
- Improve and develop Jusgo's AI models and features.
- Send transactional emails (e.g. your saved itinerary or account confirmation).
- Send product updates and feature announcements if you opt in.
- Monitor for abuse, fraud, or misuse of the service.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK & EU Users)
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, we process your data under the following legal bases:
- Contract performance — to deliver the itinerary service you requested.
- Legitimate interests — to improve our product, prevent fraud, and maintain service security.
- Consent — for optional marketing emails and non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — where required by law.
5. Sharing Your Data
We share data only where necessary:
- AI model providers — your travel inputs are processed by our AI infrastructure to generate your itinerary. Inputs are not stored by model providers for training without your consent.
- Affiliate partners — when you click a booking link (e.g. Booking.com, GetYourGuide), you are redirected to their platform. We may share anonymised click data under our affiliate agreements. Their privacy policies apply once you leave Jusgo.
- Analytics providers — anonymised usage data may be shared with analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics).
- Legal authorities — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Jusgo or its users.
All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements consistent with UK/EU GDPR requirements.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary:
- Travel inputs and generated itineraries — retained for up to 12 months to allow you to revisit past trips, then deleted.
- Account data — retained for the life of your account and deleted within 30 days of account closure upon request.
- Usage and analytics data — retained in anonymised form for up to 24 months.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@jusgo.ai.
7. Cookies
Jusgo uses cookies for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies — required for the service to function (session management, security). These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how users navigate Jusgo so we can improve it. Disabled by default; enabled with your consent.
- Preference cookies — remember your settings and preferences across visits.
You can manage cookie preferences via your browser settings or our cookie banner. Withdrawing consent to analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use Jusgo.
8. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR / EU GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@jusgo.ai. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are in the UK, or your local data protection authority if in the EU.
9. International Transfers
Jusgo operates primarily in the UK. If we transfer your data outside the UK or European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) — in accordance with UK GDPR.
10. Children's Privacy
Jusgo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@jusgo.ai and we will delete it promptly.
11. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password if you create an account.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of Jusgo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
